Changelog

What changed in each version of SessionPaw. Newest first.

6.0.0 · November 2026

Chrome Web Store first. Edge and Firefox are still on 5.1 and will get 6.0 later.

The biggest update so far, and the first release in a long while. Almost every page was rebuilt.

Look and language

• New design, light and dark, follows your system
• Themes and backgrounds in Settings › Themes
• 10 interface languages: English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Русский
• In-app Help & FAQ, and a one-page Quick tour on install

Side View

• Select mode: pick several tabs, move them to a new window or close them
• Drag a window onto another to merge them (with undo)
• Nest tabs by hand; tabs opened from a page nest under it
• Window colors are back, light or strong
• Works in the browser side panel too
• Close all: 5-second countdown, saves a session first

Session Manager

• Redesigned, with Browse and Manage modes
• Several tags per session, preset tags, a Tags panel
• Merge sessions with undo and duplicate removal
• Two panes side by side
• Exclude rules when saving: by site, keyword, private windows, browser pages, local files
• Safer auto-save: no more lost closed windows or tab groups

Concept Mode

• Light mode for the canvas
• Undo and redo

Bookmark Manager

• Redesigned with two panes and drag and drop
• Sort with undo; find duplicates and empty folders

Drop Area

• Now its own window, docked to the right of the screen

AI (optional, off until you turn it on)

• Use the browser's built-in AI, or bring your own API key
• Suggest names, tags and summaries
• Organize a window into tab groups, organize sessions and bookmarks into folders
• Digest sessions and bookmark folders into notes
• Everything can be undone; private and intranet pages are never sent

Visit stats (optional)

• Which sites you keep coming back to, and where your tabs end up

Multiple screens

• New windows land on the right screen and move out of the side bar's way

Privacy

• No longer asks to read data on every website
• Site icons from private or intranet hosts are never looked up online

Thanks for sticking around. Feedback is welcome from the heart button in Side View. 🐾
