Cloud sessions and other devices
SessionPaw has no server of its own for your tabs. To move sessions between computers it uses something you already have: your browser's bookmark sync.
How Cloud sessions work
A Cloud session is a bookmark folder:
SessionPaw CloudSession Saved ← created for you
└── 2026-10-16 18:04 (session name)
├── Paper draft (window name)
│ ├── tab bookmark
│ └── tab bookmark
└── 2 (window without a name)
└── tab bookmark- SessionPaw creates the SessionPaw CloudSession Saved folder the first time you need it. It usually lands in Other bookmarks.
- Each session is a folder inside it. Each window is a folder inside the session. Each tab is a bookmark.
- If your browser syncs bookmarks, Cloud sessions show up on every computer where you are signed in and have SessionPaw installed.
Save to Cloud
Anywhere you can save, right-click the save item instead of clicking it:
- Green power button → Save All or Save & Close All
- Window menu → Save window or Save and close window
In Session Manager, use the ▾ next to Save → Save to Cloud instead of right-clicking.
In Session Manager you can also:
- Pick Move to Cloud in a session's ⋯ menu, or drag it onto Cloud, to turn it into a bookmark folder.
- Pick Move to this device on a Cloud session, or drag it onto a local list, to turn it back into a local session.
- Open the Cloud list and click New session to create an empty Cloud session.
Use it on another computer
- Turn on bookmark sync in your browser on both computers.
- Install SessionPaw on the second computer.
- Open Session Manager. Your Cloud sessions are in the Cloud list.
Things to know
- Cloud sessions store only titles and addresses. Window colors and tab nesting are not stored.
- Because they are ordinary bookmarks, you can edit them in any bookmark manager. Keep the folder structure (session → window → tabs) or SessionPaw may not read it.
- Deleting a Cloud session deletes its bookmark folder. If the browser syncs, it is deleted on your other computers too.
- Sync speed and limits are up to your browser.
Other devices
If your browser syncs open tabs, SessionPaw can show the tabs open on your other devices, such as your phone or another computer.
- Click the round button at the bottom right of Side View.
- Choose Other Devices.
- The left side lists your devices and Recently Closed.
- Each window has an open button. Right-click it to open in incognito. Shift-click to load all tabs right away.
- Each tab can be opened, opened in incognito, or shown with its title and address.
- Search with the box on the left (
Enterto search,Escto clear). Use Columns to change the layout.
The list comes straight from the browser. If a device is missing, check that tab sync is on for that device. SessionPaw cannot add devices on its own.
